Permanent
Cosmetic Make-Up
Permanent Make-Up is a process of applying an approved color pigment
into the skin with a specially-designed machine.
The pigments used in the permanent lash line or brows are extensively
tested. There have been no reported complications to these materials
in commercial tattooing or cosmetic tattooing. These materials have
been used and extensively tested and approved for use in cosmetic
implantation.
What are its advantages?
Eyebrows – They will look more natural than pencil and will
not need to be applied daily. For sparse brows or persons with Alepesia
Universalis (loss of all hair). The procedure can save 20-30 minutes
every morning.
Eyeliner – It will not smudge, even after physical activity,
tears, long hours or oily skin. Contact wearers love it! Many ladies
whose failing eyesight or physical impairment makes it impossible
to apply their make-up are thrilled to find it’s easy to have
their look change with this simple procedure.
Lip-liner – Color mimics natural lip color to give the illusion
of fuller lips. Skin tone is used on fuller lips to make them appear
thinner. The lip liner corrects asymmetry and adds definitions.
How is the procedure performed?
The first step is a consultation with the technician to discuss color
(color density), shape, and answer any questions you may have.
Before application begins, anesthizing solution is applied so as
to minimize pain and discomfort. A sense of numbness to the skin
helps the client feel no pain.
A patch test is provided to safeguard against allergic reactions.
However, the application does not penetrate the skin deep enough
to reach the blood stream thus limiting the chances of allergic reaction.
In all actuality, many clients use our permanent product as all alternative
to the cosmetic products which they are allergic to.
What about recovery?
Most patients experience a mild swelling, but in most cases the application
of a cold compress reduces the swelling within hours. You will be
given an antibiotic ointment to apply for 2-3 days and asked not
to wear make-up for that period of time; otherwise, your normal routine
will not be interrupted.
How long does it last?
This varies with the individual. On some people the Permanent Make-up
fades faster than others. Average time is four to eight years for
eyebrows. It is slightly less for lip-liner.
Some people may need touch-up in two or three years. Touch-up should
cost much less if you return to the same technician.
Is it painful procedure?
The procedure consists of numerous feather light strokes which again
do not penetrate the skin deep enough to enter the bloodstream. During
the procedure, you might find a level of discomfort equivalent to
having your eyebrows tweezed. In fact, some client sleep through
the entire procedure.
Do I need to be absent from my job?
Normally, you can have our procedure done in the morning and be back
to work the same afternoon.
